In 2016 I bought my first EV after driving a friend’s Tesla Model S. Then I learned about societal benefits from EVs such as reduced air and noise pollution. This was especially important to me as my mother passed away from an air pollution related illness a few years prior. Since then, I’ve been sharing the joy of owning EVs and using my skills as a data scientist to understand the real world benefits they’re bringing to our world. Cleaner air and reduced noise pollution are estimated to have over a trillion-dollar benefit to the economy in the US alone. That’s more money for schools, roads, and helping those in need.
