This is 2018 YOG Breaking’s official YouTube channel! From now until October 2018, b-boys/girls born between 1 January 2000 and 31 December 2002 are the protagonists in an epic quest for the first breaking gold medals with the five Olympic rings engraved. An innovative qualification system has been put in place to identify the world’s best 24 breakers who will ultimately contest the medals in three events – B-Boys, B-Girls and Breaking Mixed Team – at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games (2018 YOG). The first of the three stages in this unique process is open to all, without any restrictions other than the age range (16 to 18 in 2018), and it plays out right here! Every b-boy/girl who is sufficiently confident of his/her skills can qualify for the subsequent stages – possibly for the 2018 YOG – by uploading a 45-second breaking video of him/herself to this platform between the first week of May and 31 July 2017.
