Dr. Joseph Jacobs, Doctor of Physical Therapy. Dr. Jacobs is a cancer survivor who used to suffer from chronic migraines, headaches, fatigue and pain and was very frustrated with the outcomes he was seeing using the traditional modalities he had learned in school. This is what led him to develop Advanced Soft Tissue Release (ASTR). Dr. Jacobs has dedicated his life to researching and developing ASTR’s theories, methodologies of treatment, specialty instruments and over 125 maneuvers to treat the full body. He has received approval for 8 ASTR patents and is constantly working on developing new instruments and methodologies for ASTR. Dr. Jacobs teaches his specialty to other practitioners worldwide, has been a guest speaker on TEDx Talks.
