Hey everyone! I’m Mickey and I want to welcome you to my channel. I recently moved with my husband to a small farming community about an hour south of the Kansas City metro. Here we have a large garden, laying hens, dairy goats, and three very loud and messy ducks! We started raising our own broiler chickens and hope to eventually have piglets, beef cows, and a dairy cow. I make most of our meals at home with home grown or locally sourced food when possible. I love to cook and bake for us and for our kids and grandkids. I’ve learned to bake with sourdough and enjoy the challenges that has brought me. We’ve really leaned into the homesteading lifestyle. I would never call myself a minimalist, but I love the slower, more simple lifestyle we’ve adopted and embraced.
