My goal in sharing my son's personal story is to change the way we think about the people around us–their abilities and their challenges. Kimock7 is dedicated to autism awareness, acceptance, advocacy, activism, education, and autism nutrition and fathering a boy with Autism. My son Chase was diagnosed with Autism at age 2. He had no functional language until about age 7. Through extensive ABA and OT therapy, he began to verbally answer questions with one-word answers when he wanted something. Now at age 22, he speaks - not conversational, but he speaks! Turns out, Chase has a LOT of personality. In September, 2017, a video we made together titled "16-Year Old With Autism Conversations With Dad" went viral around the world striking a chord with people of all ages, disabled or not.
