Pennan Brae is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter whose music is influenced by rock and roll of the 1970s & 80s. Lyrically, Pennan is influenced by Mick Jagger, Bon Scott & Chuck Berry while musically it's much the same. Album highlights include 'Lit', 'Arcade' & 'The Garden Series' double album while unique pop remix singles with producer Kirk Kelsey (The Smashing Pumpkins) have resulted in 'Weed & Whisky Women (Distilled Mix)', 'Strut-1980s' & 'A Nightmare (Full Moon Mix). Pennan enjoys the marriage of music & film & has released 2 independent, feature-length films; 'The Astronot' & '2 Below 0' which stream on Prime. Pennan filmed these, along with a number of music videos, with his creative partner & filmmaker Tim Cash. The end of 2023 sees new singles being released for Pennan's upcoming album, 'Portal'. It's a 10-track release with a lean line-up of guitars, drums & bass. Recorded at Blue Light Studio in East Van, it's set for release in early 2024.
