Responsible Faith
I hope this channel will encourage viewers toward critical thinking and Biblical study. It's important to take personal responsibility for our faith, not just believing everything we're told. Having been raised UPC, I think too many of us were raised with "fear-based teaching" and I hope to take some of the fear out of walking with Jesus. The gospel can become so complicated that it doesn't feel like good news anymore. I'm on a journey to strip things down to the simplicity of the true gospel (minus legalistic rules & traditions of men). I also hope to shine a light on the ongoing problem of spiritual/sexual abuse within the Christian community in general. Matthew 11:28-30 (ESV) 28. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
