Sing the Hours
Hi all! My name is Paul Rose and I'm here to serve and glorify God with prayer. The Liturgy of the Hours is the public prayer of the Universal Church! To pray the Liturgy of the Hours–also called the Divine Office–is to enter into the intimate conversation of God's family. The Divine Office follows a "Psalter," which is a methodical cycle of praying the Psalms of David from the Bible. As such, the Divine Office is musical by nature, and the canonical norm is to sing it! Before starting this channel, I searched for months for an online guide to singing the hours, but couldn't find anything! Since I have a musical and production background, I discerned that I had the tools necessary to create this resource for others. Here we are!
