Unashamedly rigorous and based on grammar, both English and Latin, this course is perfect for those who want to refresh their school Latin, help others who are learning, or take it up from scratch. The channel also has an essential English grammar playlist, and a light-hearted history of Rome. The author, Nicholas Oulton, read History at Oriel College, Oxford and Classics at Royal Holloway College, London, before embarking on a teaching career. He wrote So you really want to learn Latin as an antidote to the then most popular textbooks which, in his humble opinion, failed to teach how the language worked. He then set up textbook publishers Galore Park to take his teaching methodology to other subjects. He is the author of a number of Latin and History textbooks.
