The Canadian Chemist

Enjoy the fun of chemistry on this channel! I demonstrate how to isolate elements on the periodic table, how to create other interesting compounds, and also just have fun! I attempt to do as many of these reactions as possible from household and domestically available materials. I recently finished synthesizing the pH indicator Phenolphthalein from household materials, and have begun to attempt the synthesis of Ferroin, which is used as an indicator in the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction. If you have any serious chemistry related questions, you can email me at the email provided below. Thanks and have fun doing chemistry!
