Living sustainably in an unforgiving climate. We are Megan and Chase, and we live on a small homestead in the desert southwest of New Mexico, USA, and I'm here to show you that you can be self-sufficient in ANY climate! A year ago, I left my full time career in law enforcement to pursue the dream of living a slower, healthier life. Our family currently cultivates a large garden, several fruit trees, and chickens, and we desire to grow our homestead into a large enough farm to provide most of our own food in the coming years. We hope to be a source of inspiration and knowledge for those of you growing a garden or homestead in hot arid climates and difficult weather conditions.
