Meet Juliana and Martín: a bicultural, bilingual couple on a journey to visit every state in the USA and Mexico. Tourist to Local was founded in 2014 to document Juliana's study abroad adventures, and it continued to evolve when she started working on a cruise ship in 2016, where she met Martín. They began documenting their time on the ships and eventually moved together to Martín's home country of Mexico. There, Martín showed Juliana some amazing places she had never heard of before, thanks to his insider knowledge. After getting married, they moved to the United States, and the roles switched. Juliana started showing Martín some of the amazing spots in the US. Through exploring each other's countries, they gained a deeper understanding of each other. That’s when they came up with the goal to visit every state in the USA and Mexico. With them as your guides, you’ll discover the must-see spots, some amazing food, and even a little language lesson or two.
